Hopefully will get around to making guides and information of how to use everything, too.
I'm still waiting on the mythical Phoe video tutorials
I doubt he even remembers. :'(
He probably remembers, just is a big meanyhead and delays them on purpose.

You could make musical SIE tutorials, I'd be all over that.

SIE bug-fix patch is imminent. If you've been holding out on us about any critically broken stuff - now's the time to say :p

Currently there are fixes to:
- CRC editor
- Template editor clobbering strings
- .tga preview
- Camera move speed toggle key added
- Qt dependency removed
- WS radius limit

We're getting a bug fix independent of the next full release?

I clearly need to keep pestering Timbab... :p

Yeah, the lingering bugs were annoying me too much to leave it any longer :p

Well, not all bug fixes are making it into this, but yeah. I will release the big update in December though, no way I'll let it slip into 2017 unless something majorly unforeseen happens.

Honestly, this little bug squash got me more motivated again overall though. :p

RE: Sytner's Iff Editor 3

So i've  finally gotten around to installing SIE  but unfortunately  i'm getting  this upon  trying to run  your  .exe ...

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/clr20r3-error-when-installing-paintnet/9261551c-63b3-4ff6-94a8-fd98a437a121

...  Well, that TYPE of error  i'm getting i mean.

I don't use 'vista' ,  i have  Win 7 Pro 64 ,  But it's the same type of error i'm getting.

And i seem to have already met all the listed 'requirements' in your OP of the other EMU thread.

And i've also already  edited my  'settings.lua'  and changed the  useSoftwareRenderer = false,  to  'true'

Obviously, i did something wrong  cuz i don't see anyone else have this exact issue that i'm having (at least, not in the other EMU thread ---  tbh i haven't read thru  this entire  modthegalaxy  thread yet ) .  So i might need a bit of IRC  troubleshooting-for-dummies style chat, if possible.

p.s.  I also already did the  right-click Properties---> unblock   thing for the  .dll's   too

p.p.s. Here are MY exact errors...

...and...

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B03LcsiTCEGqdlNrLWZucElXWE0/view

--------
UPDATE: finally made some progress?? -->

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B03LcsiTCEGqbXBoaGhxX3N5Q3c/view

*****************UPDATE AGAIN... FIXED IT, got SIE working finally now. THANKS and i'll leave this post up just in case it ends up helping someone else someday.

when i extract the templates they all come out as .txt files, is that normal? I didn't see anything on how to important the templates i assumed they would all be in .iff, .cdf, .psh format or their respectable format

any eta?
No eta - things were going well but some real life issues are distracting me at the moment (not POE before someone chimes in with that).

In the meantime, I can share this bit of recent progress - getting SWB hosted in SIE for terrain+particle preview and overall better rendering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFbShjjYXrM

So I love SIE... can you answer a question?

Solved: 3x is a charm to get the new TRE with #'s (seems odd 3x tho )

When using the .WS ID rearranger to change the IDs in a file, shouldn't the server pick up the new numbers?

I deleted the clientobjects.db and then started server. No change.

Shutdown and restarted and no change. I made sure the TRE is in all the right places and version

What I am doing incorrectly?

Thanks!

Also noticed if I copy objects between two child nodes in the .WS editor, the new ones don't show up. over 90% of the time (in the copied to node)
