Advice on server configuration

hey all -

I have introduced my kids to the joy of SWG but between some griefing, server-wipes and other stuff, I decided to set up a private server at home that we could just play on as/when the mood takes us.

The setup wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be (due to a pretty awesome thread I found on Reddit) and I got things up and running this afternoon. However, now that the server is working and we can login and play, I was wondering how to make changes to things like the number of characters per account we can log in, the starter credits and items for a new character, and if there are recommended QoL settings (like boosting crafting XP) or ways to change or ways to change spawn times, etc, or just generally any other tips and tricks for running a server.

I have looked through the Guides section and am still Googling, but thought I would ask here.

Thanks in advance!

Have fun.

If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend joining the MTG discord. It's not as neatly structured as a guide or a wiki, but nearly any topic you could think of has been discussed there at one point or another, it's a great place to start for some ideas and research. Similarly, the SWGEmu discord has a third party dev channel that has lots of great info!
