Oh snap, looks like I was late to the party. I guess I'll try to keep this short then. Oh who am I kidding, when do I ever make short posts?
In this thread MTG is stated to be a good resource. If you wish to continue using said resource I highly recommend you re-think your behavior.
This is not the place for childish arguments and I would also prefer that people of note on these boards try not to get involved in such issues either. However while the majority of this argument was not justified on either end one thing which is clear is the original post my PikkonMG. Whether you intend to use your own environment with Core3 or modify the existing engine to remove the intended segment fault, it is not something I want to see discussed here. I'll leave it at that.
I thank Viaron for posting some obvious rules after this event. Although if you still desire a reason as to why there were no rules, the answer is simply that they were always there we just didn't feel to need to state obvious rules. We trust our community to not be completely retarded and therefore never bothered outlining any formal rules as it just creates clutter and lets be honest vary few people read that clutter. Had the rules been visible you would have read them only once someone had claimed you broke them.
Suffice to say posting an IP is simply not on. Do not do it again. I don't know if this is a feud between servers or what but it is not acceptable and I recommend you all just wait until there is a finished emulator out there, or go discuss this on your own forums.
Having been a part of the SWG community for... Way too many years now, I have been left with a very short temper. There will not be another warning.
As some final clarification when I have time I will go through Viarons rules and add some additional points so you will have no future excuse. I have also consolidated all forum tags into the moderator group, nobody will appear to represent anything but this site anymore. If you are a person of note in this community you are now shown as a moderator, even if your permissions go higher than that (Timbab still super mod, only changed display to make things uniformed). I expect you all to represent that tag appropriately and I trust with visibly defined rules there will be no future problems regarding this subject.
