A while back I read about a project that made custom planets for SWG emu? What ever happened to that? Is there a file that I can download? How can I add custom planets?

It hasn't been released yet.

Sytner is working on it again, he was on a break for a while. One day he'll probably release a public version of it, but that's still sometime off I think.

I'm starting to think all Sytners work was photoshopped. Still no map editor even though he claimed it he was almost finished with one, and made many custom maps several months ago.

MortalMan, honestly? Sytner must be one hell of a good "Photoshopper" then.

Just let the man work his magic and give him time and if you want to doubt him, well, try to do it somewhere very far from here. ;)

Or I'll hunt you down and turn you to ashes.

He is rewriting the editor in C++ instead of C# now and had to start over, and is very busy with Uni work.

Unless he's photoshopping those excuses, too. :shy:

Jeeeeesus, what is it with people around here and rewriting stuff from scratch! Especially when they're THIS CLOSE to finishing and they now have uni to contend with! :p Last I heard he was just rewriting the UI or something? I'll probably have quit modding for good by the time/if there's ever a working TRN editor :( All I want to do is build worlds, I can't model and I can't animate but I can build a planet damnit!

My crappy computer probably won't be able to run the editor anyway by the looks of all the newfangledness that's been added to the graphics processing etc. so don't know why I'm holding out hope...

Oh well, sulk over :sleepy:

Lol, Sytner the Photoshop guru, he can't program, he can't even make a 'Hello World!' program if his life depended on him! Yes! This is how it actually is.

<3 Sytner's perfectionism, too bad the result of it is, that we won't get to enjoy any of it for a while.

Because C++ > C#
And in my case, Python 3 is better than Python 2

You're all a bunch of nerds <3.
Look who's talking! :p

Anyway, putting the rewriting trend aside, Sytner's main dilemma seems to be that whenever he gets close to something WE would consider a working or final(ish) product, he comes up with some awesome idea to take it to a whole new level. Given how long he's been working on this, I doubt he'll settle until he feels like every detail is absolutely perfect. All in all this is probably a good thing since by the time the emu is "finished" the game itself will be feeling SEVERELY dated.

Then again, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's come up with a whole new client before we see any form of release. :p

Keep on rolling Sytner! We'll keep on waiting in awe and anticipation! Especially Valky. xD

Hell yeah I'm talking!

As we all know by now, Sytner is a perfectionist, if he feels something isn't right with his tool then he will go back to the source of the problem and try to fix it and if needed, start from scratch with this new knowledge that he acquired along the way while working on SWG stuff.

I won't be the one to blame him, I know if something isn't as perfect as I can possibily make it be (with the knowledge I have while working on that specific stuff), then I will slap myself, punch myself and go back to work, personally I wasn't expecting any kind of release (be it partial or full) anytime soon, I mean after waiting so long for the full -true- SWG to come back alive, I guess I can wait to see the tool that will make it a thousand times better ( even if it's really hard).

Tbh, all I'm waiting for is screenshots of his new reworked tool right now, I love to salivate, dreaming in front of a modern SWG that I just can't have right now, no no, it doesn't make me mad at all, NOT AT ALL.

It's true, I spend the entirety of my free time photoshopping the thousands of frames that make the 'editor' videos. ;)
