Ha, you clowns responded, it was all part of my big plan!
Anyways
, I'm glad you got it all worked out Berry, losing progress is NEVER fun and extremely frustrating, even if you think it's not a big deal at first because you can always redo what you did, but all in all it's just time consuming and if you forget something you bang your head against the desk/wall/table/monitor/washing machine, because of your epic failure.
So I suppose you got an efficient way to backup your stuff now to make sure it's never lost, like a repo or something that anybody willing to contribute can access, so there is no step backwards.
It's always been a pretty huge project, and even if some people will tell you it's not needed, it will allow the game to survive even longer and basically never die, thanks to SWGEmu for allowing the community to bring the best people to improve/enhance this gem that we loved in our previous life.
@Timborg
You're right, I had a Wacom just like before, but this time I got the medium epic one at 90€, it hurt my purse pretty hard at the time but I was willing to spend those Rupees to get a better drawing experience because of the bigger touch screen and the extra pens (I always break the pointy thingy edge).
But as it turns out, it wasn't software at all as I had expected, I mean I plugged the tablet to my PC and it was recognized, it worked for a couple days, I was pretty excited and all and then the next day, nothing.
I tested it on different USB ports on all the 5 PC's in the house and it never worked again, so I brought the annoyer back to the manufacturer, I still had the warranty thank gawd, and after waiting a long week for them to test the product to see if it was really faulty, they finally called me back telling me that there was a " slight problem" in the circuit , basically a big arse part of the circuit had melted and no energy could travel from the cable to the circuit, well no shite, you call that a slight problem seriously, are these things even tested anymore?
I mean it's a good thing the tablet didn't burn my PC too, or I would have been in epic rage mode, and my PC can't be the cause of the problem, it's not like it provides too much energy, heat or anything with my crappy PSU, and everything else works, I even plugged a new DVD driver (remember how the old one stopped working) and it was welcomed with open arms, my USB ports work just fine too, so the tablet was probably faulty in the first place, the machine who made the circuit was probably tired of being enslaved and decided to link two opposite poles so the resistor or whatever you call it started warming up until it just said fuck it and melted, not even sure how it worked in the first place, I mean take a random battery and link the two + and - poles with a random metallic conductor and you'll see how warm the battery gets after a short while, now do that with high voltage and ponder.
No wonder the thing melted, it kinda reminds me of my two amazing Maxtor hard drives that melted at the exact same spot lol, btw you see any Seagate products, you run away from them, they merged with Maxtor.
So yeah, the warranty did cover my crazy expense thankfully, I didn't get anything else but a friend loaned me his Fujitsu tablet that he didn't use anymore until I get a new one, and Photoshop doesn't recognize it...
I'm cursed I tell you.
