Performance Hit?

So I noticed something odd and I vaguely remember seeing this issue elsewhere some time ago on another SWGEmu server, ported NGE objects for whatever reason often times will cause some huge hit to framerate, not a big deal but definitely noticable if you've got the client wide open to 165hz lol.

Secondly some objects just DO NOT like Bloom, objects will turn into a glowing ball of light. I always wanted to take a whack at sorting THAT out myself, but no idea where to start in that regard.

So I'm trying to figure out why this is and what it takes to sort these issues out, I'm guessing some things didn't port quite right.

The performance hit is usually if you have shadows on - there are a number of objects that cause performance drags if shadows are turned on.

Bloom-glowy has to do with pixel shaders and .sht used for objects. Mix-and-match until you find a way to make objects not glow.

Ah the shadows, that makes sense.

Ok cool I'll take a whack at that, i noticed the falcon in the sample custom han solo quest was glowing like the freakin sun lol thanks for the reply :)
