SPOILER ALERT : DONT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ROGUE ONE

In all I thought Rogue One was a pretty decent addition to the Star Wars franchise and lightyears better than Episode VII.

One of my only gripes is... why do the new movies keep trying to explain how Super Weapons work?

Seriously in both movies they felt the need to explain how both Death Star's worked (or Death Planet in episode VII's case). I mean come on, it's Star Wars. We don't need to know how anything works, it just does because it's Star Wars.

In episode IV when they told me it's a space station that blows up planets all I had to say to that was.... "Okay, makes sense".

In Rogue One's case it wasn't so obvious as Episode VII (stupid movie); ummm.... it's a planet that destroys it's sun to shoot. I'm no scientist but I think that planet would literally be useless after it shoots then, demobilized in the vacuum of space with no light or heat.

Regardless, I thought Rogue One was a nice addition and was the movie they should of made. Not Episode VII.
