Hello everyone!
So since my last bit of news was wishing everyone a happy new year I thought I should post a little update so that you know I'm still here, keeping the fire burning
New Forum
We now have a requests forum so people can... well... request a mod! So if you want a modification to your client but don't know how to go about it, pop in and request it and hopefully someone will take a fancy to your request and make it happen
Therefore, if you're bored and want something to work on then take a look inside the forum and try and make someone's dream a reality
I must also thank MtG user Sumane for the suggestion because it's a good one and I'm stunned I didn't think of it earlier! So thanks Sumane
Hexbox
There's also a new simple but effective addition to the forums of the hexbox. This box displays hex in a well formatted manner to make it easier to post contents of the SWG files! I'm hoping this will make the File Types Discussion forum a little bit more effective and I want to try and promote more discussion in there. There's still a lot of files with missing information and I think with a team effort we can figure it all out!
It's quite simple to use, here's an example:
which displays as:
[hex]4d6f64007468650047616c61787900697300617765736f6d6521[/hex]
you can also add a title like so:
Downloads Section
The downloads section still isn't being used, quite soon I'm going to manually upload mods from the forums to the downloads section, the download will be assigned to the user that posted it in the forum so they will be able to edit it themselves and of course receive the appropriate credit.
I would urge everyone to please post any future mods in the downloads section in addition to making a post about it, if only for there to be a backup/alternative mirror to download the files from. It's very simple and only takes a couple of minutes (especially if you've already written a description for your forum post).
Round Up
Well that's about it for this update, it's not much but I'm currently working on a few different projects that I hope to have finished in the near future so watch out for those!
Happy Modding!
