I downloaded it, put it in the folder named it swgemu and even made a user.cfg and i still run at 30 fps. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you add this to the user.cfg file?

Code:
[ClientLimits]
SetFramesPerSecond=30

So the .exe you downloaded is in the existing SWGEmu folder and you're running that .exe and not the old one?

Check the swgemu.cfg file, it should have the following.

.include "swgemu_login.cfg"
.include "swgemu_live.cfg"
.include "swgemu_preload.cfg"
.include "options.cfg"

Try adding .include "user.cfg", it seems to have done the trick for me.

I am also having trouble getting this mod to work.

EDIT: I just got it to work. I'm using Windows 7 and forgot to uncheck the option to hide known file extensions. My user.cfg was actually user.cfg.txt so it wasn't being read properly. Edited the extension to .cfg and now it works fine.

Hopefully this helps some of you also having issues with the mod.

Works fine for me, windows 7 32bit. Just downloaded the file to a separate folder, renamed original swgemu.exe_original, then brought in new swgemu.exe, went to the pre-existing user.cfg added
Code:
 [ClientLimits]
SetFramesPerSecond=60
and everything works fine. Make sure to change the 30 that was posted to a higher number, Im using 60, gonna test using higher number. Running at 40-50fps, on a single core 1.6ghz laptop.

I've tried every link to download in this thread and they're all broken. Is there somewhere else I can get this mod?

Wanted to say what a great file this is, it brought me to 100 FPS indoors, and 60-80 outside. Complete new game!

Check the swgemu.cfg file, it should have the following.

Try adding .include "user.cfg", it seems to have done the trick for me.
Wanted to reiterate what this gent wrote. There is a # symbol in swgemu.cfg in front of .include "user.cfg". Remove the # and it works using this exe and the edited user.cfg file you create!
