MTG server admin issue

I had a standard core 3 server but now I have switched to a MTG server.

I made an account and set the account in the database to Admin level 15.
Made a character, it has the god mode yellow text, so I know its mostly working.

However, when I try to set the /setGodMode charactername 15 on
it keeps saying I have an invalid permission level
what I am doing wrong.

Yes, I have the user.cfg edited client side done

Why do you want to assign a level 15 to a character which is already level 15 from a level 15 account?

Try /setgodmode name on/off

I tried that also but when I type that it does nothing, no message, nothing.
I then try any GM command and it says no such command etc etc
I had the same sort of issue before in the old core with my laptop.
On my PC it works but on this laptop, I seem to have the same issue.

OK this part now works but I can only switch god mode off and on.
All other commands don't work after it's switched on. ie /kill = no such command etc etc

I'm using your user.cfg you posted so Im not sure what is going on.

Did you merge versions? And did you build your server after merging with no errors?

I did not merge versions, backed up my old server, and built everything fresh install. It's strange, data base it looks fine, in game yellow txt god mode, can turn on and off the mode. however, gm commands don't work while it seems on. I tried another machine same problem.
