Would it be possible to replace a building with another, like for example add the Mos Taike Cantina as a Medium house? (client or server side)

Serverside, sure, not much to it.

Might even be possible, but I'm unsure how buildings are enforced server side.

Buildings are generally played inside of the .WS file, so you'd want to find it and change the .IFF link and pob CRC.

I need a MSH exporter that works in max 2009 :( So far the ones Ive found on this site toss errors at me that I havent been able to work through. For instance, when I try to export to a .msh file type, I get an error telling me that it is not an editable mesh and it is disabled. I have applied the edit mesh modifier t it, but no luck.

If you know of a link please share it! The ones that looked good around here have been taken down and left with only mgn capability.

Hmm, not sure. I know it works with 2010 (I think), you should probably PM rosuto (here on the forums or SWGEmu) to see if he can make his compatible with 2009.

I don't know maxscript, else I'd do it.

I doubt there are big changes to make, but you have to talk to him.

I just came across this forum for the first time and was wondering about something that may be slightly complicated.
First off, I know close to NOTHING about modding, other than how to install them, of course. (Mostly)
However, I was wondering if it were possible to create a mod that replaced the "Vibro Knuckler" with something like the "Survival Knife"?
And if so, would it be possible to take the position of the "Survival Knife" and turn it around so the player is holding it backwards, like a reverse grip? Or even making the "Vibro Knuckler" have the texture of a "Curved Sword" with a reverse grip?

You would have to work with the meshes in a 3d program to achieve that, if you need the reverse grip. Other than that, its just a file replacement/substitute type of mod. But not sure why you want to swap the weapons, all of those are already in the game.

Heya Timbab!

I am trying to get ENB series to work with SWG at the moment, also I am working on a water fix as well as some texture assets, but for the life of me I don't even know where to begin with the ENB series stuff. I have done some ENB editing for Skyrim for personal use, but that's about it. Any info you could send my way would be great, thank you for your time.

Hey, hmm. I personally haven't played with ENB too much, but I can look into it.

What exactly do you need specifically? General settings? Do you have the right version? Also, you can link SweetFX to ENB, btw.

Also what do you want to do with the water? Perhaps I can shed some light on that.

Ooo ooo I have a request!

How possible would it be to add a "dump to text file" button on WS editor of the Jawa Toolbox? When dumped, the information would be organized by item id. Each line would be a new item, separated by a blank line. Each data value would be comma separated. Like so,

item id1,value1,value2,etc

item id2,value1,value2,etc

Having this would make searching for stuff possible by using any of the text editors that have great search tools. Could even use it for making web tools.

Already planned for a couple of different file outputs, including, possibly, screenplay. :)

Just gotta get my rewrite going in full steam (not touching my old code again).

Request: Chicks with actual hips and other minor female tweaking. Not enough Boom Boom (why the creators choose to give people the option for females to be morbidly obese in char creation is beyond me). and possibly reshaping the Twilek head so the lekku connect and appear more like ears as intended from a front profile rather than having a ginormous looking cranium. I've tried the Blender mgn plugin editor and it isn't working for me.

Lol, that's incredibly specific.

Not possible at the moment anyway, not until there is full on MGN support (import/export).

P.S. For the same reason that males can be morbidly obese, lol.

First off, thanks for accepting requests :) I'm about to start up the Swords tree in Brawler, and would love to have a client side swap for the power hammer to any 2h sword. I'm going to look into the Jawa Tool, but given this is as swap, I imagine it'd be child's play for you Timbab.

Thoughts?

Is there any way I could get my comp' armor to look camouflaged? I.E. Replace dark green color pallet to Jungle cam like the Paramilitary pants, tan w/ desert camo & black for Urban camo? Is that at all possible or would someone have to completely redo something. I, admittedly, know nothing about this sort of thing.

hmmmm ... new/old idea from my old smuggler buddies and I on live... can you do this request?

it's a two part request.... don't shoot me (pardon the pun)
Part One:

1. existing belt and add a right hand holster (no gun)
2. take #1 and add a DE-10 handle
That way if someone could create two macros..one to equip a pistol & equip #1.. and a second macro to unequip gun & equip #2...

Part Two:
Code it to recognize a weapon_pistol equipped / un-equipped.. total pipe dream I am sure

So is that a proper request here or do i need to post elsewhere?

PS: Love the OP above this one for Camo Armor... I would pay 3 Ewok Hides for that and 6 hides for my request.

DrDax - Smuggler and YT-1300 Pilot ....in my mind......

Yeah I plan to work out a smooth way to make holsters a legit thing at some point for sure once I clear some of my ToDo. :)

Worked like I thought it would, size was fine from the get go too.

Basically open the deed file for the vehicle, example:
/object/tangible/deed/vehicle_deed/shared_speederbike_swoop_deed.iff

Open the last node, go down to the XXXX chunk that has the 'appearanceFilename', which should look like this by default:
appearanceFilename..appearance/eqp_tool_datapad.apt.
Change it to the .apt for that vehicle, so in the Swoop's case, it would be
appearanceFilename..appearance/swoop_bike.apt.



Here are the files for the Swoop, Speederbike, Landspeeder and AV21. Hope the Landspeeder is correct.


But remember, it's only client side, only the people who have the mod will see it.
So I've been trying this for the last hour or so... I had it working, then when I saved the landspeeder wrong it all broke. I can't get the default texture appearance to go away despite the iff edits being correct. Am I doing something wrong here?

Edit: Figured it out. The ending period on the stack line needs to be 00 in hex not 2E or it wont work.
