Hey, as titled above, im new to SWG modding and id like to start modding for the UI for the SWG EMU,
Ive downloaded a few mods and by examining the files and where they go, IE textures and the *.INC script files, i think i have a very basic understanding on how its put together but my coding history is nil, Im a linux user on manjaro, using Kate as a editor, looking into a way to get proton/wine to run SIE, for now though ive got a small NUC thats running windows 10 for SIE related file editing.
So my goals..
I would like to develop my own UI to make the group UI a lot more modern and DOC/Medic Friendly, this would include the player HAM and the players target HAM aswel as the group frames.
On top of that change id like to make modern updates if possible, the Overhead Map (CTRL-M) to be reduced by 70% and placed in the top corner of the screen, perhaps to add a frame around it to contain it.
Im playing on the Empire in flames server and I would really hope someone out there could help me getting started, software, advice, anything really.
Thanks in advance
