and basically any music that will cause YouTube to say that it has a copyright strike. I read about doing the music folder but that didn't work for the scroll at the start of the game or all the cantina songs that play in the background
The easiest thing to do would be to just open the in game options, go to the Sound tab, then lower the music volume to zero. That would disable all of the in game music, as technically it all should trigger a copyright strike given that it's all copyrighted.
Otherwise, if you want to be more specific with only disabling certain songs, you could use SIE and find the names to all of the songs that are copyrighted, then download a silent mp3 file, and plop in your SWG directory and rename it to the song file.
Example, to get rid of the "Star Wars Theme" in the intro video, make a silent mp3 at "music/intro.mp3" in your SWG directory. At least I think that's the file, it's not the main title screen, but the intro video. Either way, tracking down all of them will take a lot of time an effort. Hence I suggest just muting the in game music.
I have tried all of that, went as far as to replace the music with SIE...then tried to load game update music tre....fml... I will keep trying, I want the sound effects but the music is what makes the copyright strike, which is kind of BS after all it is a Star Wars Game, they should be happy that we still play and had they not killed the game they would have still been getting a subscription from me.
If you go to where all your tre files and SWGEmu.exe is, create a folder called music (all lower case) and then name your mp3 files for music the same as the ones seen in SIE. For example, the title music is either mus_title_2_lp.mp3 or mus_title_lp.mp3 so I use the same music for both of them.
