Newer versions of the .inc can not be loaded directly into the UIBuilder, please run the INC Converter and drag and drop the INC into it and it will put it into the correct format for UIBuilder to read.

INC Converter:
Download

UIBuilder:
Download

It takes a while to setup, will try release a pack when I can as for now teaser screenshot of what it can do (Note: This screenshot isn't it even finished I still have some testing about loading the final textures in.)

Small Update:
Currently still working on the pack its going pretty well but there is an issue with 2 things, one is nothing the other is quite major but due to how I'm doing it, it shouldnt be a major issue however until i test it fully no guarantees

First in the app you can't see text due to SWG Uses a text manager from patch 11 onwards which the tool doesn't support, now you can still use text fine its just the program cant display text unless you use the old text manager which should still work in SWG i would have to test it though and might convert the pack into the old text manager (Only updated it to the new one due to the Japanese locale)

Second issue is Palette in UI_Styles, the program can't handle it and wipes it clean, now atm its working all in XML the program and I will be writing a program which converts to XML to INC and I can rewrite in the palette fine however I did do a test which did render the UI unusable however I did not add in all the palette styles so hopefully when i do it right it all works out.
The UI works fine without the Palette I have noticed 1 colour bug however it is only related to the inventory the skill list still works fine etc

incompleted but this is all I can be bothered to do currently:
Pack1:
http://www.mediafire.com/?xd93vjh8t3gs85q

Now, you open up ui_root.xml.
Make whatever changes when you save find the XML you changed open it up in text editor remove the top <?xml line and then save it as a .inc

There is still a lot need to be tested with the UIBuilder and still needs to be alot of reworks to SWG UI to get it all fully working in harmony.

RE: [Tool] UI Builder

Might be a bit early for a release as it's kinda bugged at the moment, last time I tested it was.
But it was an internal bug in EQII UIBuilder itself.

And props to Davin for the INC converter and Uli for enabling export as INC in EQII UIBuilder and maybe more I can't remember exactly what.

RE: [Tool] UI Builder

Hi guys, this is "kaosnye" from SWGEmu forums. I'm very interested in getting this tool working. I'm willing to assist if you'll let me know what it is you need.

RE: [Tool] UI Builder

Ok so I downloaded the UI builder and the INC converter. Is this program specific for building a UI in the NGE, or can it be used to build a UI for SWGEmu? I am just trying to gather info so that I can learn how to use this program and figure out what I can do with it. Thanks

RE: [Tool] UI Builder

It is for any era of SWG but the program was originally for Everquest. Uli made some changes so it worked better with SWG but you're still likely to run into a lot of problems.

If you want to get into UI changes I recommend just editing the files yourself. You'll need to learn what does what in those files anyway even if you use try using the builder.

Thanks, I have been doing much reading in hopes of getting into some editing. I will keep looking around and see what I can accomplish.
