Updated the original post and features list to reflect the changes I've made to the project. I also added a screenshot of Tatooine's current sky, with a light gust of sand blowing overhead to my den.
I don't see said screenshot. Perhaps the link is broken?

Also, on a unrelated note, 200th post W00T!
I'm posting stuff directly to my site to keep things more organised and easier for me. You can find it here. Some images are PNG's if the quality is needed, so give it a chance as the odd few images might take a while to load.

I think he's working on another project right now.

This project is full of potential and I'd hate to see it go to waste, I'm tempted to even pick up where Tonberry left off.

If you're serious about it, PM me and we'll figure something out. Check my thread in this forum section. If it's not just me, I'd be motivated to work on it more.

Actually I've been awol for almost a year. I was a bit busy with uni and stuff, plus I also wanted a break from SWGEmu for a while.

It's nice to see people still wanting this project to see the light of day. As most of you know I lost more or less everything which I consider usable from the project. I have one version which is safe, but if I recall it is a very very early version which is actually partially broken due to a mistake I made with the terrain file. There are some elements which can be salvaged, but to be perfectly honest everything I posted of PP up until it died out was experimental. It was no where near the standard I had originally planned. It was, if nothing else, a basis to expand on.

However, if there are some of you willing to work on this type of project then I feel its wrong to let all of that testing I did go to waste. I have been looking for a new arty project recently to pad out some of my free time, but I never considered returning to this project up until now. If some of you are willing to team up and work on this then I will happily put my willpower back into the project, and do it properly this time. I have new ideas already.

If some of you are willing to team up I'd be happy to get together to discuss it in IRC or something. For a project like this, a team really is a must. It would certainly explain why my attempts to solo it haven't been so successful. :p

Well Kay and I worked on some stuff, but it ended up being mostly shaders because curiosity got the better of us.

No idea how much time I have in the coming months, but I'd be interested if it's something 'serious', structured, planned out and all. Too many times have I started without ending up with anything to really release, because I was going all over the place.

Let me know what you have exactly planned and we can figure something out, but again, not sure how much time I have, especially once I move.

P.S. Good to see you back! ;)

I'm pretty sure this happens to all of us, it does for me at least. Every time I sit down to work on a specific thing it sparks another idea and I end up completely off the point.

Have no fear though, if I'm going to get back into this it'll be in an organized fashion. I've got a lot of it figured out as to how things can stay on track and be preserved properly. I learnt quite a lot when I was first dabbling in this area so this time things can be done in a perfectly efficient way on all accounts.

As for time, I also have no idea exactly how much I can commit. If we get this team rolling I imagine I'll initially have a steady burst of contributions then it'll die down as uni and things catch up with me. With a few team members submitting things piece by piece I'm sure it can be done to a great standard, however long it takes.

I'll hop on IRC at sometime soon to go though my thoughts before either of us make a decision.

Right now I have a semester starting up and two mod projects I'm working on, but if I can I'd be willing to help. (I just need to get alot more familiar with the tools...)

That's what I was getting at, if there is a organized project with a decent 'to do' list that has an order of importance, it's easier to stay motivated when you're not the only one doing stuff. I was up for one back when Kay and I were dabbling around, but no one was really up for it and things kinda drifted apart.

As long as it's kept alive by contributions here and there for numerous people, it's more likely to ever see a bigger project finished. :p

We should figure out everyone's strengths too.

I couldn't agree more. Having a well organized yet casual team solves the problems that naturally come with making progress on large projects, especially those relating to motivation.

Mech, your help would also be welcomed. The more people we get interested the better. Everyone has things going on in life so of course this will be a casual setup at best. If you're still game then drop me a PM or ideally stop by the MTG irc channel and we can discuss how to go about things and who has what skills.

Sounds great, I'm going to have a toy around with getting a mini site sorted, if only to act as an organized place for screenshots. This thread has gotten a bit lengthly. :p

That's awesome, I can setup a subdomain for you, just let me know what you want (pp? perfection?). If the need arises further down the line I'm not opposed to adding a forum to these boards specifically for PP either :)

That sounds cool. Timbab actually already mentioned we should get a specific forum set up, certainly a good replacement for this thread. :p

As for subdomain I'm not really too bothered. Frankly modthegalaxy.com/projectperfection is good enough for me.
